Welcome to Make Zines! -- a community for, well, making zines. We want to make zines, and we want to encourage others to make zines!
* What's a "zine"?
There's a lot of variance! From the sff fanzines that kicked off the zine phenomenon, to multi-author collated and mimeographed APA zines (fannish and otherwise), to the DIY punk-indie-etc zinesters, to home designed but professionally published glossy art zines. And many more!

makezines, we aren't being fussy or exclusionary; make what your heart wants to make. That said, we really want to encourage the make-your-own philosophy.
Zines are for everyone -- fill a page or several pages with words and pictures, doodles and collages. Print or copy (or even mimeograph if you have one!), or upload a printable to the web, or both. Send copies to friends old and new.
Make stuff because making stuff is fun, and good, and creativity doesn't need to be polished and perfect.
Share tips and tricks and resources. And zines!
