Right over here Richard Polts has made available almost two dozen fonts adapted right off of vintage typewriters (literally).

They're Creative Commons 0 Public Domain released 833333

I could have died of joy when I found this and saw that Olympia Script was in there; my entire childhood school nonsense rushing back at once *lol*

And I still really am tempted to make a zine in the kind of magenta colour you got from spirit duplicator mimeograph machines ...

Yeah, the purple-magenta text it made was a highlight of my grade school years *lol*

I don't know why the school never used carbon, now that I think about it. It would have been cool to have both, what you described is also cool --

Olha as cópias do mimeógrafo também saiam às vezes meio roxas, noutras meio cinza. Dependia muito do tanto de álcool e de qual tipo de carbono a professora usava. Elas muitas vezes deixavam a gente os alunos a cargo de rodar a manivela e fazer as folhas. Eu cheguei a montar o original de onde saia a cópia. Era muito legal.
